Petty Garage tuned, 505hp, 2017 Scat Pack, Gen III 392ci 6.4L, engine, TTi long tube headers cross pipe and 2.75in exhaust system. Silver Sport Transmission A41 Overdrive automatic, 8.75 Sure Grip rear end, QA1 double-adjustable shocks and sway bars with factory torsion bars and Super Stock leaf springs.
Wilwood 14in Disc brakes with 6 piston calipers in front, 4 pistons calipers in back !9 inch wheels in front, 20x inch one off wheels in back, equipped with the first of this model available to the public, General Tire G-Max AS-05. Auto Meter gauges housed in a Classic Dash instrument panel report the vitals, while a Vintage Air A/C system, an Alpine stereo, and a thick layer of Hush Mat keep the cabin nice and comfy.
Over four weeks the Petty Garage crew replaced the floor plan, quarter-panels, rocker panels, trunk pan, and sections of the frame rails with all-new AMD sheet metal. Janak Repros provided all the fiberglass pieces necessary for the conversion which took 80 to 100 hours to get fit correctly, and another three full days to fit the hood.
After finishing the prep work, the Superbird was sprayed with three coats of R-M Petty Blue paint. In total, final prep work and paint consumed another 200 to 250 hours.
